South Bay and Palos Verdes realtors come to the State Capitol!

Assemblymember Muratsuchi hosted Leadership Torrance at the State Capitol. Leadership Torrance provides opportunities for emerging leaders to take an active role in building a stronger community.

Great community turnout to support this iconic South Bay landmark.

Assemblymember Muratsuchi took part in the City of Gardena's Cinco de Mayo Parade.

Last week I attended the Beach Cities Health's (BCHD) kick-off of May's Mental Health Awareness Month with the opening ceremony for Allcove Beach Cities. Allcove Beach Cities is a one-stop shop for young people aged 12-25 in the South Bay to access mental health services, substance abuse prevention tools, peer and family support, and help with education and employment.

I provided a letter of support that helped the program to be awarded a $2 million, 4-year grant through the California Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission. BCHD was selected as one of 5 new pilot sites to deliver this program throughout California.

Proud to have such a great program for our young people in the South Bay!

Assemblymember Muratsuchi held a press conference concerning AB 938, a bill to raise school staff salaries to close the existing wage gap between teachers and other professionals.

Happy Earth Day! I spent this morning at the 31st Annual Run for Education organized by El Segundo Council of PTAs to fundraise for K-12 students at El Segundo School District. It was great to see President Dieema Wheaton of El Segundo USD, and various community leaders that make the El Segundo community so great. Congratulations to El Segundo Council of PTAs for a successful event. Over 1,500 runners in attendance!

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy celebrated their Volunteer Day. As a proud partner of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, I was honored to celebrate the dozens of volunteers that weeded, watered, mulched, and seeded the native plant garden and cleaned up the trail!
