Happy Earth Day! I spent this morning at the 31st Annual Run for Education organized by El Segundo Council of PTAs to fundraise for K-12 students at El Segundo School District. It was great to see President Dieema Wheaton of El Segundo USD, and various community leaders that make the El Segundo community so great. Congratulations to El Segundo Council of PTAs for a successful event. Over 1,500 runners in attendance!
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy celebrated their Volunteer Day. As a proud partner of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, I was honored to celebrate the dozens of volunteers that weeded, watered, mulched, and seeded the native plant garden and cleaned up the trail!

Thank you El Segundo Chamber of Commerce for hosting a "Meet Your Elected Officials" event today at Top Golf. It's been an exciting time to connect with my newest city in the district where I talked about issues important to businesses and residents. Such important issues are education, the aerospace industry, public safety, and environmental issues that revolve around the Hyperion Water Treatment Plant. Thank you again to the Chamber and most especially to CEO/President Marsha Hansen who did a fantastic job in coordinating a wonderful event.

Assemblymember Muratsuchi was joined at the State Capitol by Isabel Aguayo, Mayor of Paramount, Alex Gammelgard, President of the California Police Chief Organization, and Jeff W. Reisig, District Attorney, Yolo County, at a press conference to urge the passage of AB 1708 to combat retail theft.
South Bay high school students formed Student Environment Advocacy, a nonprofit to advocate for local environmental causes. We met to discuss how we can work together. Thank you Sophie, Reina, Michelle and Ryan for your leadership!
I held a Hermosa Beach Town Hall to discuss issues important to the community. Thanks to City of Hermosa Beach for hosting us at their City Council Chambers. Thank you to Mayor Raymond Jackson, Councilman Saemann, School Board Member Bove-LaMonica, city commissioners, and community leaders for a good conversation on issues important to people of Hermosa Beach and what I'm working on at the State Capitol such as education, homelessness and public safety.
