Mental Health Awareness Month with Allcove Beach Cities

Last week I attended the Beach Cities Health's (BCHD) kick-off of May's Mental Health Awareness Month with the opening ceremony for Allcove Beach Cities. Allcove Beach Cities is a one-stop shop for young people aged 12-25 in the South Bay to access mental health services, substance abuse prevention tools, peer and family support, and help with education and employment.

I provided a letter of support that helped the program to be awarded a $2 million, 4-year grant through the California Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission. BCHD was selected as one of 5 new pilot sites to deliver this program throughout California.
