During this unprecedented time, South Bay leaders believe it is important that you hear from us and provide you with the information and access to resources. To assist the constituents of the South Bay, Congressman Ted Lieu, Senator Ben Allen, and I are hosting a Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, April 16, at 2 p.m. We want to make sure that you have an opportunity hear from your state and federal leaders and have your questions answered.

The Town Hall will be hosted on my Facebook page. You do not need a Facebook account to view the Town Hall. In order to answer as many questions as possible, please submit your questions on my website by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.

Do you run a nonprofit? Need assistance with information during this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic? Then please join me for a virtual Town Hall, Thursday, April 30, at 3 p.m. For this event, I will be joined by Jan Masaoka, CEO, and Lucy Salcido Carter, Public Policy Director, from CalNonprofits. They'll be answering your questions and giving an update on what help is available for nonprofits.

To assist the constituents of the South Bay, I am hosting an additional virtual Town Hall Tuesday, April 21, at 5 p.m. For this event, I will be joined by Craig Leach, President and CEO of Torrance Memorial Hospital. He'll be answering your questions and giving an update on how the Hospital is responding to the pandemic.

Vaping Prevention Town Hall

More than 3.6 million middle and high school students currently use e-cigarettes. In light of the growing vaping epidemic, I will be hosting a Vaping Prevention Town Hall at Manhattan Beach Middle School on October 14. Experts will be discussing the dangers of vaping, why kids are choosing to vape and how to know if your child is vaping. They will also discuss how to talk to your child about the dangers of this vice. Representatives from local school districts will be talking about what they are doing to prevent it in their schools. Please join us.

In light of the growing teenage vaping epidemic, I will be hosting a Vaping Town Hall at Manhattan Beach Middle School on October 14. Experts will be discussing the dangers of vaping, why kids are choosing to vape and how to know if your child is vaping. Experts will also discuss how to talk to your child about the dangers of vaping. Representatives from local school districts will be talking about what they are doing to prevent vaping in their schools. Please join us.
