Torrance, CA – Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance)’s statement on Governor Gavin Newsom’s budget proposal:
“I welcome the Governor’s budget proposal delivered to the Legislature today. The proposed budget addresses South Bay priorities in the midst of this pandemic: more than $14 billion for coronavirus relief, including vaccination funding; a $4.5 billion economic recovery plan for workers and small businesses; increased funding for our schools to help get our kids and teachers safely back in the classroom; and storing reserves for ongoing economic uncertainty. Millions of Californians are hurting during this pandemic. As your South Bay Assemblymember, I will work hard to help them get through this crisis.”
Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi, the Assistant Majority Leader for Policy and Research, represents California’s 66th Assembly District, which includes El Camino Village, Gardena, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, Hermosa Beach, Lomita, Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Torrance, and West Carson.
