Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi Statement on South Coast Air Quality Management District Proposed Ban on Hydrofluoric Acid

TORRANCE, CA – “The South Coast AQMD has heard the concerns of South Bay residents and is proposing a ban on highly toxic hydrofluoric acid in our community.  Ending the use of this deadly chemical in the refining process is one of my top priorities as your Assemblymember and I stand with the families and refinery workers who have been at the forefront of this fight to make the region safer for everyone.  I applaud the AQMD for taking this step and look forward to working with them to protect our region and make the South Bay a better place to live, work and raise a family. “
