I was honored to speak to the North Torrance High School JROTC at their annual Military Ball. It was so inspiring to see our next generation of leaders. I encouraged them to use the skills they develop in the JROTC as they continue on their educational and career paths. I know these students will serve others as they move forward in their lives. I also want to thank Command Sergeant Major Duran for his years of dedicated service. As he transitions out of this role I am very impressed by the indelible legacy he leaves at the Saxon Brigade.

Assemblymember Muratsuchi honored District 66's Woman of the Year, Sara Deen, on the Assembly Floor.
Great turn out at my Gardena Town Hall on March 2nd, 2019 at the Gardena City Hall. We discussed important issues facing California and the South Bay such as housing, healthcare, education and the environment. I also discussed some of my bills like AB 39 to increase K-12 per pupil spending.
Today I visited Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital which serves South Bay families. I am glad we have such great resource for some of the most vulnerable children available as a resource to parents. They demonstrated their dedication to the quality and compassionate care of kids and expectant moms.
Assemblymember Muratsuchi spoke on the Assembly Floor during the Assembly's annual recognition of the Day of Remembrance.
This is my third year participating in the South Bay Women’s March. From Redondo Beach to our nation’s capital and everywhere in between, women are marching in solidarity with all women across the country. Women are leading the way to stand up for love and fight hate, including anti-Semitism. Marching today reminds me of all the causes that are represented here today. We want, “Equal Rights For All!” We have a record number of women who ran for office and who got elected. It’s a new Congress and the administration will soon have to realize it. Let’s keep fighting to take our country back!
February 8, 2019 - "I had a productive and encouraging meeting with Coalition for Clean Air Board Member, staff, and community partners at my District Office. We discussed efforts to further our shared priority of keeping the air we all breathe free of harmful emissions. I am excited to continue to build on my legislation mandating that all refineries in the state monitor emissions at the fence line and in the community. Thank you to Board Member Betty Chim Lieu, Executive Director Dr. Joseph K. Lyou, Deputy Policy Director Chris Chavez, and community partners Catherine Leys of FLARE and Dr. Abas Goodarzi CEO of US Hybrid. Thank you for your passion and advocacy for a healthier and more environmentally sustainable California."
