Day of Remembrance

I introduced Assembly Concurrent Resolution 143 to declare February 19th as a Day of Remembrance throughout the State of California, to remember the historical lessons of the World War II Japanese American incarceration in American concentration camps. Thanks to camp survivors Kanji Sahara of Torrance and Nancy Oda of the San Fernando Valley for educating legislators and staff at the State Capitol about the Tuna Canyon Detention Center and life in the camps.
