After completing high school and serving in the Israeli Army, Dr. Artal-Mittelmark met his future wife, Micha. Together they completed medical school and then moved to the U.S. for advanced training, where he specialized in high-risk obstetrics. He enjoyed a rewarding and successful academic and medical career while they raised three children and were blessed with eight grandchildren.
