Special Session Wildfires

Today, I spoke at a special legislative session on the recent wildfires. We were there to work together to make wildfire prevention a priority.

We all need to remember that climate change is causing these wildfires. Indeed, the worst wildfires in California's history have been in the last 10 years. We have seen that the extreme weather conditions driving these wildfires will cost billions of dollars in taxpayer liabilities and continued rising home insurance costs.

Our solutions need to focus on fighting climate change.
