California School Boards Association (CSBA) Annual Education Conference

I was the Keynote Speaker at the California School Boards Association (CSBA) Annual Education Conference's Legislative Action Luncheon. School Boards across the state are responsible for ensuring that our students and faculty have the resources to receive and provide the basic needs to obtain the best education.

I was proud to share that during our past budget session, there were no significant cuts to K-12 education due to having the state rainy day fund and Prop 98 funding. We also provided $4 million for community schools and wrap-around services. With the impending change of leadership at the federal level, we need to fight across the aisle to protect Title I and many federal programs critical to our school districts.

Thank you to Betty Lusk, CSBA President-Elect, Patrick O'Donnell, CSBA Chief Government Relations, and Chris Reefe, CSBA Legislative Affairs. Also, thank you to El Segundo Unified School Board members and superintendent and Ann M. Phillips, Lawndale Unified School Board Trustee.
