South Bay Public Safety Training Center at El Camino College Groundbreaking
Last week, I attended the official groundbreaking of the South Bay Public Safety Training Center at El Camino College. Five years ago, I was honored to deliver $10 million in state funding for the training center, which will support the education of El Camino College's public safety students. This includes training for South Bay firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians.
Thanks to Dr. Dena Maloney, former President of El Camino, and current President Dr. Brenda Thames for their support.
Jim Birrell, Executive Director, Los Angeles Area Fire Chiefs' Association Regional Training Group "RTG", Blayne Baker, Assistant Chief, Torrance Fire Department Bob Suppelsa, Vice President, Administrative Services, El Camino College & Jeff Baumunk, Fire Chief, El Camino College also attended.
