This morning I held a Palos Verdes Peninsula Community Town Hall at the Peninsula Center Library.

Great discussion on disaster preparedness, with climate change bringing extreme weather conditions like a hurricane watch, wildfires, and landslides. I delivered $1.5 million in state funding for a Palos Verdes wildfire early detection system.

We also discussed the importance of K-12 education in PV. I am currently the Chair of the Assembly Education Committee, and I believe in the importance of education. We discussed the importance of school bonds to improve school infrastructure. Last year I delivered $500k in state funds to upgrade the dilapidated Palos Verdes high school bathrooms.  

We also discussed housing and homelessness, local control, public safety, including retail theft.
