I participated in an event this weekend commemorating the June 17, 1923 real estate rally that was held on the grounds of what is now the Malaga Cove School and the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Administration Building. The rally was meant to entice people to purchase property on the Peninsula.

This rally drew over 32,000 people from the area and launched the modern development of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
