Nonprofit of the Year - Okinawa Association of America

Gardena-based Okinawa Association of America - OAA is my Nonprofit of the Year! Founded more than a 100 years ago, OAA is the oldest organization in the mainland US providing community, cultural activities and support for the large Okinawan community in Southern California. With OAA president and Gardena High alum Ed Kamiya and executive director and North High alum Yuko Yamauchi.

As a proud Uchinanchu by heart, it is my honor to thank and recognize OAA for all its great work over the decades.
