API Legislative Caucus' API Heritage Month Honoree, San Jose Taiko

Today I had the privilege of escorting the API Legislative Caucus' API Heritage Month honoree, San Jose Taiko, on the Assembly Floor.

San Jose Taiko promotes API inclusion and representation through the art of taiko, meaning drum in Japanese, performances. San Jose Taiko stresses education and provides educational opportunities that explore the heritage of taiko. Ms. Wisa Uemura, the Executive Director, and Mr. Franco Imperial, the Artistic Director serving on the staff, both working to further San Jose Taiko's goals.
