This year marks the 50th year of the friendship between sister city Kashiwa, Japan and Torrance. To celebrate, Mayor Kazumi Ota of Kashiwa led a delegation to visit Torrance.

I was honored to present a Resolution from the California State Assembly to the Torrance Sister City Association, created to support this sister city relationship. It a way to say thank you for their years of dedication to the cultural exchange between the two cities.
