Redondo Beach Homeless Shelter

Redondo Beach homeless shelter near Hawthorne Blvd and 182nd St. With RB City Attorney Mike Webb, Councilman Christian Horvath, Councilman John Gran, and nonprofit operators Harbor Interfaith.

Redondo Beach has been the leader in the South Bay in finding solutions for the homeless. This pilot project provides 15 ”Pallet shelters,” which provides a temporary roof and a safe, clean bed for the homeless who have been living on the streets.

24/7 on site security, no drugs or alcohol allowed, clean, no trash or litter in sight, with all 15 units occupied.

Each temporary housing unit costs about $8000, compared to recent reports of Los Angeles permanent housing units for the homeless costing more than $500,000 each.

I’m working on a bill to establish a right to shelter. No one should have to live and die on the streets of the world’s wealthiest country.
