2017 Women of Distinction

Today I hosted Assembly District 66's "Women of Distinction 2017" event in downtown Torrance. Proud to honor these amazing South Bay women leaders for their hard work and commitment to the community!

Carol Pike Bauer, a former aerospace engineer with McDonnell Douglas, was recognized as the “Woman of the Year 2017”.

Other “Women of Distinction 2017” award recipients included:

Irvine, Chief of Manhattan Beach Police Department • Dr. Sally Hayati, President of Torrance Refinery Action Alliance • Nichelle Henderson, Instructor and Field Supervisor for Cal State Teach • Joeann Valle, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Gateway Chamber of Commerce
